Has anyone used the MHL HDMI port with a phone or tablet? I’m curious how it works. Sounds like the screen mirroring works great in park, but the minute you take it out of park, it stops. Is that true? I’m curious to try it but need an adapter to go from lightening to HDMI. Will pick one up this weekend to test.

I found some videos of an override setup by Naviks. They want $250 for it to allow you to continue to use the mirroring while in motion. Seems steep. Any alternatives?
