Talking N00B Disco owner

Hey all, just bought a 2019 SE and liking it so far. I have a couple of questions that would love your comments on
1. Running into some water leakage from the front windshield , the service dept indicated that this is a common problem in all Disco' and they have a replacement on order for this , hopefull this gets covered under warranty. Anything around this that I need to verify when they fix, e.g is there water damage to other systems because of this that I should ask them to check on?
2. Want to get a hitch to tow an RV/motorcycle trailer/attach bike rack - is the recommendation to go with the OEM or are there other players?
3. For Roof rails, I see some videos that show it being straightforward to add these on - recommended or take it to the shop?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats!

Water leakage common. My 2018 managed 2 years then it started earlier this year. Windscreen replacement. It's the bonding / glue around the glass apparently. Easy fix once they get the part in. Nothing in particular to check afterwards - as long as systems are working should be ok. Would look at headliner for water staining - you might get them to detail it to clean it up.

Welcome! We have an 19 SE, hope you're enjoying also.

the OEM cost & shop install is brutal. Lots of videos on rail installations. If I'd known, I'd have asked for that instead of the ceramic coating they comp'ed me after a couple of screw ups. I'm now looking for knock off eBay rails....

Can't help you with the other items, though factory hitch has been rock solid and clean.

So you went to the dealer to install and they messed up? What was the cost. ? I have heard the ebay ones dont provide the trim pieces that are needed on a youtube video where someone did the install themselves

One more question to all of you fellow owners - I just checked the tires on my used vehicle and they are a firestone destination LE2 (235 55R19) , according to tirerack.com those are not the OEM tires. Can someone else in the US who has a 19” share what were the OEM tires that came with the vehicle?

235 55R19 would be about a 29 inch diameter tire, that sound way undersized to me
Tirerack.com says it takes 255 60 -19 which would be about 31 inch diameter
Where'd you buy it? I'd complain if it was from a dealer.
You can't say much if they put some non OEM brand on it but that tire size is way off.
Did you check to see if all 4 tires are the same size?
Do you have a full size spare? What size is it?

All 4 tires are the same, I havent checked the spare yet. Will report back. Had this vehicle checked from the local JLR dealer to ensure everything was good and I got a thumbsup!

I believe your local JLR dealer steered you wrong. If you paid them for their evaluation do you have a contract that says what they will do if they fail to detect a problem?
I'd go to them and see what you can get them to do for you since it is not right.
Hopefully their evaluation of the rest of the vehicle didn't miss any mechanical deficiencies.

OK , even more confused here. This is the picture on the door, so it seems the width of the tire and the rim size is right, the only thing different seems to be the sidewall height off by 10, which seems ok?
