Default Not able to start WiFi and mobile data

Hi everyone..

I'm a pretty new owner of a Land Rover Discovery 5, I have it about a week.
I've bought a used one and I'm trying to set every thing up. Now I'm facing my first issues with it and I'm not sure where the problem might be.

My Problem is, that I'm not able to establish an internet connection. Wether with mobile data (none of inserted SIM cards were recognized) nor with my iPhone as hot spot (when tapping on WiFi-switch in the connection settings, it says > not available).

Have you ever had problems like this and how did you fix it.

It's a Land Rover Discovery, 2018.

Howdy,
Try this website: https://myvehicle.att.com/#/landrove...US&language=en
I presume you are in US. LRs are working on ATT network, only.
You'll need a dedicated SIM for it. It won't work with your regular cell phone SIM.

Sorry I forgot to mention. I'm living in Switzerland.
To be honest, I'm afraid that something might be wrong with my soft or even hardware.
I've contacted the retailer here in Zurich and we made an appointment on the 11th of january. They'll try the update directly with the diagnosis computer.
They told me, that they once hat a similar problem and that's not that easy. It even might cause some damage on some digital unit > don't ask me which one.
I'll report it, when everything is done..

Oh...ok then. All my suggestions are then useless if you are not in US.
Probably the dealer visit would be the best.

My Disco was at the garage. They‘ve did the upcoming car service and told me, that they‘ve tried everything and didn‘t made it work. So, they had to send a warranty request for the fixing of the problem and they also need to order the TCU from England.

Fact is, I‘ve seen that they could update the Car Software to 19.2 and they‘ve also changed the SIM-Card slot. After arriving home, I‘ve tested the WiFi and it works. I‘ve tried also a SIM-Data-Card, and this works too :-)

The only issue, that I have now, is Updating the Infotainment System. I‘ve got a message, that there are no updates, but this is impossible. It‘s still

a v18.xxxxx

I have the same issue with wifi software updates. Sometimes I'll get notified that software is available and I'll ok the download. It looks like it's downloading but the new version never flashes to the unit. If I navigate back to check for software updates manually, I get the same message about new software unavailable.
