Odd and misaligend Head up Display ?
Hello!
I am brand new here and hope to get qualified information
here. The "unfriendly" and especially the LR support is not doing
much.
I have a new LR Discovery 5 2024 with HUD. Left hand driven ...
In my opinion the HUD is either a complete misdevelopment or incorrectly
misaligned. The "unfriendly" guy says it's normal - really?
On the photos (it couldn't be better, but it's enough, cell phone straight
phone aligned straight) it is clearly visible that the projection is
down left and odd and the display is not centered. Not to forget the round corners on the right. If navigation information is display it is also odd and the lastletter on the right is only partly visible.
On the photos I added red lines reference with the center line and hoizontal exact adjusted level. the yellow lines show the deviations . So it is odd...
Slight blurring due to the old fashioned wired heated windscreen can be explained.
Does anyone know if this is really "how it should be"? Id this really the qulity I can expect from a expensice brand / car?
I just find it annoying. I previously had a Daimler, where everything was nice centered and straight...you always felt like you were only looking at the projection with your left eye.
Any adivce or experience?

Not correct !
Ask the "unfriendly" to put that in writing. I presume having the vehicle so new, it is still under warranty. With that in writing, contact JLR ( not sure in which country is this ) but in most cases the JLR is helpful - not the dealership, just call the regional office.
That what you have there is absolutely a defect. It is not normal at all. This needs to be changed under warranty.

That doesn't look right. Hard to tell from photos but it looks misaligned
Note that there are settings in the car menu system to adjust the viewing angle / height. Have you played around with that? Not on the center console, but on the dash menus behind the steering wheel on my 2018. Mine looks straight and clear
