Anyone have a new genuine Land Rover oil filter on their shelf that could check the writing on it to see if it says Mann or Mahle?
Or does it have any other name on it besides Land Rover or Jaguar?
If it does could you please take a picture and post it?

I'm seeing genuine LR oil Filters for low prices on ebay and the box says made in Germany but the vendor is in China and I don't trust it.
I actually have a photo of a box in my hand from my local LR dealer where it actually said made in China on the box.
But I think the low price on ebay might be a counterfeit part and I won't take a chance on it to save a few bucks.

 

British Atlantic sells a kit with the Mahle filter. Used it on mine and seems to work fine.

 

Thanks for that Andries. I know Mahle is a good filter but I won't use it unless the factory one says Mahle on it.

 

I just bought some genuine LR filters from my local LR dealer. They do say made in China on the box. They do not have any other brand info on them so you can't tell who makes them.
I guess it doesn't matter, I paid less for the genuine part than they want for the other brands.
