Just out of curiosity, what is the impact of insufficient EGR flow in the Td6? Exhaust gas recirculation is the bane of diesel truck owners because it carbons up the air intake system, including the EGR valve, which is PITA to clean or replace. Many diesel truck owners install a blocking plate between the exhaust bypass tube and the EGR valve to prevent this from happening. Alternatively, the ECM can be programmed to not only prevent the EGR valve from opening but to also disable the resulting cel (I plead the fifth).
Since you have an extended warranty there's no reason to not get it fixed but, for future reference, you might do some research to see if there are any downsides to ignoring a recurrence of that cel, other than emissions non-compliance.

So far little impact. I have still been driving some.
The Continental Warranty I bought doesn't cover the EGR valve.
I requested a copy of my warranty. I misplaced my copy.
I got the less expensive policy, $3,995.00.
So my bill is $1,713.00.
I will take the EGR valve they removed, and clean it, put in on a shelf for the next time.

Any chance you could post some photos of the EGR valve, before and after cleaning it (and would soaking it in a gallon of parts dip be a suitable way to clean it)? Also, what is the Land Rover part number of it?
