Hi Still deciding on buying a trailer came around this 5500 lb dry and 6900lb GVWR jayco and the only issue is the tongue weight its 730lbs would this be safe to tow or just drop it?

 

I'm running about 600 tongue weight and the airbags hold it with no problem. What happens if you put 5 of your friends in back of the car. That should give you an ideal of squat with the trailer on.

 

The air suspension will manage it and adjust accordingly, but you absolutely need to make sure you're running the correct tyres at the recommended "normal" pressure. Do not tow use the low pressure/comfort option.

Make sure the trailer brakes are performing correctly and properly inspected.

 

The rear axle load capacity is 4100 lbs. Check it out via a CAT Scale. I have towed over 30k miles with mine towing a Solaire 240BHS with a Hensley Cub.
