Range Rover and Disco 5 - same lug nuts?
We just bought a 2017 Discovery 5 HSE and it came with the 21" wheels. To make it eligible as a CPO, they also put on new Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Seasons in 275/45/21 since the old tires were well worn. While that's lovely, we'd like something a bit more off roady. I did a ton of research and now have sitting in my garage a set of 20" wheels off of a '13-'17 Range Rover. They are 8.5" wide with a 47mm offset, so I feel good about them fitting. Just today, my 275/55/20 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's came in, so it's time to get them on the Disco. I was going to test fit a wheel before taking everything to the tire shop to have them mounted and balanced, but then realized my low profile jack isn't up to the task. Instead, I just pulled a lug nut off since I read they were a bit different than "normal" and placed it in the RR wheel. I could wiggle it around, noticing that there was a little bit of lateral movement, which got me thinking.
Am I OK to mount RR wheels on my Discovery 5 using the D5 lug nuts? Does the taper on the lug nuts account for the lug nut hole being slightly larger so that it doesn't matter? I have to stress about everything...

Congrats on the new car! Hope you enjoy it
Yes - LR uses a standard lug nut for most LR and RR vehicles. Part LR068126
See this link below for the list of vehicles it fits.
20inch 8.5 wide and 47 offset is the same as the standard 20inch wheels that come with the Discovery so you should be fine there
And yes / you will need a extra high trolley jack to get the wheel off the ground!

I had originally expected more road noise, but they've been a pleasant surprise. There is a slight amount more than the stock 21" Scorpion's, but after the first couple of minutes, I didn't hear it anymore, even at highway speeds. No vibration at all at any speed, and it handles as well as I'd expect any vehicle of this height and weight to handle.
As far as off road, I haven't experienced a wide variety of conditions. We've gone off road many times, but it's been limited to rough rock roads going up the local mountains, as well as crossing small streams. I haven't encountered any mud or snow yet, So I can't comment on that. I have no complaints about their off road capabilities based on what I've driven through.
Thus far, with 3,000 miles on them, I would not hesitate to buy them again.
