Default Rear camera image suddenly at 90 degrees...?

Hi everybody. I have a 2018 Discovery HSE. Came out to start the car one day and while backing up realized the image I'm seeing from the back of the vehicle was mysteriously in a 90° position. Figuring there was a gimbal or something else faulty in the camera, and the fact there is only one way to install the camera (it is forced to sit in the correct position and cannot move), I ordered a new one and replaced it. The problem remained.

So now I have two working cameras, but no solution. And weird because the imgage itself is fine, it's just turned sidways. I spoke to two different LR mechanics at two different dealerships and neither of them have heard of this. Obviously, it appears to be a software problem, but I wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced this (when checking for an update it shows the software is updated, although when I then click to try again, it goes into an endless loading mode that will not complete).

If so, please let me know if you were able to diagnose and/or fix it. Thanks in advance!

When vehicle is placed in reverse.

The graphic shows the left hand camera is off. Maybe that camera is bad (not the rear camara; the side one).

As mentioned, I replaced the rear camera already with a new one. Same problem.

Thanks, I see that the icon shows the left camera is off or bad.
But if the left camera is showing a problem (or off) as it does, it still doesn't explain why I am seeing the image output from the rear camera (although tilted at 90 degrees).

perhaps it needs all input cameras to be functioning on order to properly orient. in any case, that input camera being off is clearly an issue.

Thanks and excellent theory, one I will look into and report back.
Unfortunately, where I live the dealership is pretty far away, and the last time I had an issue they had my car for three weeks (and currently they are still backed up and don't have any loaners available).

Default Same Issue

I have a 2017 Discovery HSE and the rear view camera is also having an issue spontaneously without any reason that could explain the change. I am seeing black like circle zones and about 40% of the screen is black and the rest of the zone is what you describe about 90 deg off. I replaced the camera with the same exact part and the image issue did not change at all. Updated the head unit software, issue is still the same. The over head view using all cameras shows the black zone in the rear as well. I am not sure how to fix this issue without trying to replace the head unit next. Did you happen to get yours repaired?

Unfortunately, no. I also took it to our Land Rover-exclusive shop and after attempting to diagnose, none of their techs said they've ever seen this issue before.
We are just living with the problem right now.
