I just spent a month in Africa and my ride was parked outside the airport in the sun, not my doing, and now the trim around the rear view mirrors is appearing to turn from black to blue meanwhile the other trim isn’t. Has anyone seen this?
Have not noticed it. My wife uses it to go to work and it is parked in the California sun most weekday mornings , almost a year old and doesn’t seem affected.
I just purchased a 2018 Discovery in Carpathian Grey and noticed the same thing after taking delivery. Started looking around for replacements from salvage and those look to be turning blue as well.
Our LR4 finally bit it due to a water event - too many things fried to fix, so we sold it on Carvana (highly recommend) and got a 2018 Disco 5. So far everything is great except us not noticing the blue tinged mirror trim. It seems to show up even worse in the rain for some reason. The dealer is pondering how to make it right, but I started digging in and found others have this problem as well. Tonight, I parked next to another DV identical to ours and guess what? Same issue. So I can at least confirm it's a manufacturer's defect that JLR should fix.
I’m having the same exact issue. In the rain the blue stands out more around the rear view mirrors. I have a black 2018 Disco HSE. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
