Rock sliders
#2
That will be a very welcome addition to have some rock sliders. I would prefer some sliders that just cover the lower door area and tucks underneath. This way it protects the lower door area, but is not really visible and doesn't impede entrance and exit of the vehicle. Great option for milder trails and very usable when taking the wife to dinner (heels/dresses and sliders that stick out do not mix).
Some companies have 2 models, one that just tucks under the vehicle for more mild use and a second option that have a second tube that runs wider to provide more side angle protection on tougher trails from rocks, etc. I have not looked at the D5 in detail underneath, but have reservations about a slider with a second tube due to the extra leverage and fitment options. "Old truck" chassis was rather easy to deal with, but if you mount to the body the extra wide slide may have a lot of leverage on the mounts.
Would love to see some images (when available) of how these mount.
