The small tray just forward of the cup holders is just about big enough for sunglasses. I noticed mine had a few light scratches in the black plastic and sometimes small items placed in the tray would move around or slide out. I trimmed a black mouse pad from Office Depot and stuck it in the tray with a little double stick tape with the rubbery side facing up. It looks good too.

 

I always felt they missed an opportunity to have a wireless charging mat there.

Ours has a softer sticky plastic liner at the bottom. Not sure if they changed things.

Totally a wireless charger would have been great.

I wonder if you could remove the mat, trim the underside of it and place a wireless charger underneath it?

The only thing (and why I've not gotten a wireless charger) is that it won't connect to CarPlay. So if you have to have it plugged in for CarPlay, you don't need the wireless charging.

It's a vicious circle....
