Snow traction devices for 20in wheels
I am looking for snowchains (or traction devices) for My HSE Lux w/ 20in wheels. Land Rover recommends VPLGW0081which is very expensive and (from watching videos) may require to have an adapter/hub mounted during winter months (does not look pretty).
Has anyone tried other traction devices? I see many normal snow chains on websites but dealer (naturally) says that those should not be used due to clearance issues with suspension. This is somewhat hard to believe on high-clearance SUV but I have not tied measuring clearances.
I also see other mfgs making similar devices to LR one (actuall they don’t make it - I think it is “spikes spider” one) which should work.
Last I saw fabric based (“snow socks”) options.
Any experience with non-LR traction devices?
Many thanks

Was just in about 20-24 inches of fresh snow and didn’t have a issue. I did change out tires, I have BFG KO2s but the D5 performed flawless, I carry maxtrax but didn’t need it, I didn’t even air down. Not sure how much snow you are getting into but I didn’t have issues.
No kidding? I mean I wouldn't want to run them for fear of tearing something up anyways but still surprising
