Default Soft Reset

Anyone know how to do a soft reset of the touch screen software ?
My free AT&T data trial ran out . I used my phone as a hot spot to feed the car for awhile but that was a pain . So I signed up for the $20 a month unlimited plan.
Cant get it to actually work. Called LR this morning , after about 15 minutes of checking settings told me it was an AT&T issue with account syncing .
Called AT&T spent an hour with them, no resolution.
They escalated it , got a call back late this afternoon, the tech actually has a velar and led me through the screens while he was in his car. Another hour no go.
He told me could take 24 hours for an account reset they did to work so try again tomorrow.
In the meantime if anything changes let him know.
I thought about it and decided to shut off mobile data and connect to my house WiFi . (Parked in driveway).
Still cant get car to connect to the internet !
So now it seems like a LR problem .
I contact the AT&T tech and he says they have checked all provisioning and I should go to LR and have them do a reset on the car. Or try a soft reset myself .
My manual reading and Google fu is weak , I can’t find a soft reset . Only thing to reset I could find was the vehicle mac id and imei , I tried that and no change .

My vehicle was a demo (some CFO or COO was driving it). We've had it for like a month and a half now. Were able to setup the trial for ATT setup again. However no data. Cannot connect to a hotspot for Internet either. Pretty frustrating. Vehicle was in for service and they didn't see anything wrong with it.

Started a ticket with Land Rover Customer Service and now we're going back and forth trying to figure this out.

If you call them, maybe you can reference my ticket: 8000561674

I took it to the dealer yesterday. They have not heard of a soft reset but said that sounds like shutting the car off and leaving it off for 15 minutes. This happens normally a few times a day of course.
They tried a hard reset which sounds like they disconnect the car battery for 15 minutes.
My sim card would not come out easily so they ordered a new sim card reader unit.
I said ok but why won't it connect to wifi at my house or at the dealer (they tried it also) or my iphone hotspot? (actually to be more clear it does connect but won't actually let any data reach the screen, no browsing or traffic etc).
So they admitted it was more than the sim card reader. Also AT&T saying everything was good on their end and the sim card was actually working .
So I scheduled it for another visit when I can get a loaner, they were out yesterday. Going to be September 10th actually. I am waiting until they can valet the loaner to me and take mine. I don't mind waiting because the plan is to update the firmware of the infotainment system which is apparently huge, changes the look of everything and had 200 bug fixes (nothing about mine though). Unfortunately it sometimes breaks bluetooth connections to iphone X's. Which I want to work more than the data actually.
So hopefully there will be an update to the update before mine goes into service. I figure it will be there a bit.

Have you taken it to the dealer too or just called LR customer service? I don't have a ticket from when I called on Friday and now I have the dealer working on it. I wonder if I should try calling LR CS or just let the dealer take it from here?

I thought of something else and tested my remote app today. I can lock the car, start and stop it etc. It reports its location correctly so the car is communicating with the outside world.
Does it do that through the SIM card or does it have another way ? If it uses the sim card then that is working and the whole not getting data for traffic etc is totally a LR thing and not an AT&T thing.

Are you able to login via the ATT portal and see if there is any data activity over the past 24 hours? Though I am not sure the remote functionality uses the SIM, it would be odd if the vehicle had two data modems, so not sure the answer on that. You could pop the SIM and see if you can still remote control the vehicle.

Great idea, I just took the SIM Card out and the remote still works. I wonder if the SOS button would still work too? I am guessing yes but not going to test that.

I did check with ATT and I have been using data since I signed up for the plan. So something after the SIM card is not letting the data get delivered.

I took it to the dealership first and they said all the systems checked out okay .

I have to schedule another service with them after I get back from a couple of trips

I do not have issues with the remote start, lock, and remote seats either Technology guy at the local dealership said these are run off of a different system. I believe he said the SOS stuff runs off of that too

The dealership flashed every infotainment module yesterday. There were some updates.

It is working now which is great!

usually anytime something like that is needed it means pulling the battery terminals off and letting it sit for a little bit to make sure any capacitors and such are full discharged. When my Jeep Grand Cherokee’s infotainment would act up you’d disconnect the battery then touch the positive and negative ends together. It’d reset everything then all the little grimlins would be gone.
