My loaner is a Discovery Sport, not nearly as nice as the Discovery but no hesitation. Also the bluetooth is better. Everyone told me I sounded like I was in a tunnel or had a cold when I used the bluetooth in my Disco V (they sounded fine to me though) but I sound normal while using the Discovery Sport. I am hoping the 18B update helps with that too.

I have it back now. Internet is fixed. Sim Card and Wifi, they replaced the telematics unit.
They delivered to me so I haven't driven it far yet, I will report on the hesitation later.
I went from Phase 2.5 to 4 and version 18B. I have a check for updates button so hopefully I can go to 18C myself, which would be awesome because CarPlay works in the UK with that update!

Thanks for great info! Dealer has my car for a noise issue, keep telling me that I need to do the upgrade my self. (currently on 17c)
I was given a MY19 F pace with 18B, it appears to be much more smoother and quicker comparing to my Disco5. Do you feel any difference in terms of smoothness or speed?
thanks

It is easy in 18B just go to settings and you will find it.
Hard to find if you are in the older version phase 2.5 or 17c version.

Smoother and quicker engine or touchscreen?

The touchscreen is faster now. Same thing happend with my 2012 Explorer and Microsoft Sync. Came with a very pretty version that was slow, they did an update that sped things up but was not as graphically intense.

Haven't driven it enough to see how the hesitation is.

Thanks. I am on 17c - does that mean that I need to bring to the dealer to get an update to 18b?

I thought you had to have the dealer do these updates and that the latest one having an over the air update button was a big deal. But if they told you to do it then I am mistaken.
Unless they are talking about a map update?
I would ask again and make sure they know you are talking about the Infotainment update. ICTP
If you are 17c you are also what they call phase 2.5, 18b takes you to phase 4.
So you might be best asking for the upgrade to phase 4. That might make it more clear.
You can say your screen sometimes turns blank and the radio won;t play.
That should get them to do the update.
Mine did do that on occasion before. Happened the first week. Phase 4 was not out yet. The solution is turn the car off, wait a bit and try again.

Meant to ask about the touchscreen. Thanks for confirming.
I am pushing dealer to upgrade mine to 18B, wish it goes well.
