I actually haven't used mine, like, ever.

But I also don't have any "entertainment" packages or equipment for the passenger seats.

I'm thinking HDMI ports are on cars with rear entertainment package? I'm sure the manual has info - probably inputs.

My '19 HSE Lux w/o rear entertainment only has USB ports in the center console. I use those to update maps, and connect my phone for Apple Car Play.

Strange. Mine is a '17 HSE w/o rear entertainment, yet I still have an HDMI port.

The dealer told me they're not putting the HDMI ports in the newer models, I also have no rear screens,he wasn't really sure what the hdmi ports are for.

I also have an HSE Lux without rear screens but I would assume an HDMI port would be an input for connecting external players/phones/consoles or whatever can output HDMI that you would want to display on the screens?

I have rear seat entertainment and hdmi allows connection of a laptop/ dvd etc as another source to view on screens
I thought it also allowed video playback on the front touchscreen when car is in park, but not certain about that.

hello, how did you manage to get this to work?

Have you been able to get anything to play via HDMI from a phone as well?

Hi,

I just read your post about your Rear Seat Entertainment and wanted to ask if you would be interested in the following study:

For our client, we are looking for interview participants who have a built-in Rear Seat Entertainment in their car. We would like to talk to you about your Rear Seat Entertainment and how your passengers use it.

The main criteria that must be met to participate in the interview:

- The car should be no more than three years old
- The car must have a built-in rear seat entertainment system
- The rear seat entertainment should be used frequently

Interview details:

- The interview will last max. 2 hours
- Your participation will be sufficiently compensated
- The interviews will take place until mid-December
- If possible, we would also like to interview a passenger who often rides with you for 30-45 minutes (the incentive will increase accordingly).

I work for an innovation agency, HYVE Innovate GmbH in Munich, Germany, and would be happy to answer any further questions you may have about the interview. Feel free to reply here if you are interested. I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Soe
