TD6 crankshafts?

Are the crankshafts an issue on US models? Seems like most happen in Europe from what I’ve read.

This video is kind of what I was talking about with the hype. The TD6 was offered for a years and years before theV came out. It was on LRs, the RRS and big RR. How come there wasn’t a huge stink about them until recently? Why were people clamoring for the TD6 on the D5 when it came out if these issues were already issues?

Gas engine?

Does the crankshaft issue impact the 3.0 liter gas engine in the US as well? I’m considering a 2016 or 2017 RRS and obviously want to avoid something catastrophic, especially right out of the gate.

Does not effect the gas engine as far as I know.
