Default Towball - to grease or not to grease?

Hi,
I am a first time tower, towing a horse box this weekend with my Disco 5. Should I grease my tow ball?

have heard conflicting advice about this, some saying it can interfere with the vehicles trailer sway / stability systems, others saying that only applies if the trailer has stability control built in (the trailer we are towing doesn’t).

Any definitive advice please?

Thanks

Never....Just increases your swaying...which is never good...UNLESS you have a swaybar.

I don’t grease it, primarily because it’s messy to handle
