Default Turbo

I have coolant coming out of my intake pipe. Seems likely that my turbo is leaking coolant. Can the turbo be removed from the TDV6 without lifting the body or pulling the engine?

There's no body lift on the D5 - it's unibody.

The turbo is lubricated/cooled with oil. If you have coolant in your intake it could be an issue with your air/water intercooler. Think land Rover calls it an auxiliary radiator. It's behind the RH front bumper. No experience with them leaking in this application but I'd almost expect to see coolant on the ground if it's leaking enough to see coolant n the intake system

The diesel are air to air intercoolers and the turbos are in addition to oil cooled/lubricated is also water cooled.

Are you saying there is water plumbed directly to the turbo on the TD6?

Yes. Water cooled turbos are not uncommon.

This engine uses a Garrett GTB2060V Turbocharger.

I understand that much. Confirming we know specifically the TDV6 is.

I have confirmed. Rock Auto has bad info when looking up via the referenced LR part numbers.

My 6.7 Powerstroke uses a water to air intercooler. It's pretty impressive.

I misspoke previously. The aux radiator does cool water that passes through the air/water intercooler which is located behind the LH front bumper. I suppose the intercooler itself could be leaking water into the intake air charge. Confirmed the single turbo setup is water cooled. Water pipes to turbo circled. Very cool

I think I am going to investigate more and look at the intercooler.
