Does anyone know if there is a way to enable the turn signals on the tailgate itself? It seems that US spec D5’s only have the turn signals (and brake lights for that matter) operational on either side of the tailgate. I recently saw a video on Instagram (@discovery_5_australia from 3 days ago) of the entire assembly illuminating, but maybe this is for Australia/Euro spec models only. Curious if anyone has any insight. Seems it would be safer to have the entire assembly illuminate when the turn signals/brake lights are activated.

 

I have it on my 2017 SE, but I think it only comes with the power tailgate

 

Interesting. Mine is a 2018 HSE and has the power tailgate.

 

I cant check mine at the moment, but with a standard tailgate there are no operating lights.
I have the gesture tailgate and have some working lights, but I'm not sure which ones.

In 'merica we do not have amber rear turn signals. It is all red and just on the body. The lights on tailgate are just illuminated with parking lights.
