Default Two Items

I’ve noticed two things:
  1. the storage box behind the climate control gets extremely hot. I’m assuming that happens for all?
  2. Today, my remote temporarily didn’t work to unlock the car. Neither the trunk release or the unlock button worked (nor did the touch sensors). I went to go to my phone app to unlock the car from there and while I was logging into the app, the remote/car suddenly responded. Very strange and concerning. I know I can use a physical key, I just don’t ever want it to come to that. It is hard to believe that the remote battery is dead - the car was manufactured in 2018 and has less than 2k miles.
I guess this this is an excuse for a software update...

I noticed the touch sensors working poorly before my car no longer recognized the key. I had to have two of the interior sensors replaced. They can diagnose a failing sensor with a test, I would do that before you're stuck somewhere.
