Hi, I'm familiar with recent year Discovery models with the powered inner tailgate. What I'm wondering is what happens on a model without this option? Is there just no inner tailgate at all, like the Discovery Sport? Or is it still there, but has to be manually closed? If the latter, I'm guessing you can't use the remote to close the outer tailgate until you manually shut the inner tailgate? Thanks.

 

In the US, they all have this standard option. (except the sport as you mentioned)

 

Hi, thanks for replying. Sorry, they all have what - an unpowered inner tailgate? Because powered is definitely an additional cost option.

So, then, how does that work? If the tailgate is down and you try to close with the remote, what happens?

 

this SE on CarMax doesn't have a gate.

 

Well I guess we now have the answer. Its either powered, or none at all.
