Default Vehicle Service History from LR

Hi! I just bought a 2017 Disco and I went to my local LR dealer today to discuss the service history and I was told that it is private information and they are not allowed to divulge this info due to privacy issues. I don't know how a vehicle history of a car I own would be private. Any ideas?

You can view it online yourself, no need to access it via the dealer.

It doesn't seem to work for US vehicles. Thanks for the link. I just get a message that says "Vehicle not eligible for Online Service History."

Just tried it on my US vehicle. It accepts my VIN and shows VIN, model name, model year, and model view.
But it does say

LAST SERVICE RECORDED

Vehicle not eligible for Online Service History.

Correct. The online service records are only in some countries and not in USA

Dealers will tell you they won't divulge past service details, but I've had them do it for me in the past. And at a minimum I'm sure they could tell you when it had annual service and any other material issues that were done. Try a different dealer?

I'm actually going to do some due diligence on the service writers at this dealership, I'm pretty sure I talked to a dbag. You don't need to kiss my ***, but if you want my money, act like you appreciate it and not like you're doing me a favor. The dealership is a part of a large group and I've had very positive experiences over the last decade with their Audi and BMW sales and service staff, the writer at the LR dealership was the outlier there.

Wait a second...you can’t get the history of the vehicle from car fax or anything?

If I buy a vehicle I NEED to know exactly what has been done to it.

You get a rough idea from carfax. But nothing like the level of detail that the dealer could provide.

One other option would be to sign up for a free Topix account and then follow the links from there and try and get the service history that way?
