If you have interest in a NEW 2017 HSE Lux TD6 in Grey contact me. I know a dealer that has one on the lot right now and willing to discount heavily.

Had convinced myself to just order a 19 but the price of my build [done with the 18 builder] went up $2000 with the new 19 builder. So, I just located a left over much more optioned $81K 2018 they are looking to move for slightly less than I can [now anyway] order the 19 for with only what I need on it. With 18 pricing that was not the case.

Still sorting through what all changed, moved, etc. with the 19 builder?

Well, much more heavily optioned, it might seem like a better deal to get a left over $81K 2018 for $75K but we are at the end of the model year and it's just a bunch of extra stuff that we don't need that will eventually break. I got a build ready from the new 2019 builder and today was "tentatively" still offered the 2% discount over the phone on a presold order which will pay for 1/2 of the new $3000 option pack where they mixed the Surround Camera in with the Auto Cruise Control for some completely unknown weird reason. But, that gets my 2019 build down to just $500 more than the exact same 2018 build was going to be. $75,525 down to $74,015 for the 2019 build vs just $73,425 for the same 2018 build. And most of last year's Drive Pro and Vision Assist PACKs are standard EQ on the LUX for 2019 so I still get those features we want.
Going in Friday to ink an order . . . hopefully!

EDIT: Just for grins, I went out an built a nearly identically equipped Volvo XC90 and the price was $73,975. $40 difference.

I finally got to town today and signed a 19 order. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

Quite a bit slower moving process than when I ordered my Cayenne but, after placing the order the last week of August, I now have a "lock" date of October 21st. I had a build week in 3 days when I ordered my Cayenne, though they acknowledged that response was unusually quick and was told to expect a week to 10 days back in 2012.

But, though it merely means the date where I can no longer make changes, can we call this progress?

Congrats!

You placed order Aug 29 and got the build date for Oct 21 it seems, what do they give as the delivery date?

We ordered ours by Aug 24 or so, got a build date of Sep 21 and quoted delivery Nov 11 here on the West coast. But will see when it actually arrives. Hope to get it broken in before the winter

No, "LOCK" date is 10/21. Not build date. Lock is just the date I cannot make changes. No idea on Build yet.

Well no more and hit POST and got an email that my "BUILD" is Dec 14th. Looks like my hope to put an Xmas bow on this for the wife won't be happening. Back in 2014 since I had been diagnosed by then and the wife had been gone for a few days, I drove my Cayenne to KC Xmas Eve morning and traded it almost straight across for her new Audi Q5 TDI Prestige S-line which I had sitting in the garage when she got home Xmas eve night. I thought with nearly 4 months from order to Xmas, that might be possible here?

Likely gonna be Valentines . . .

Ouch!!
Ours had Last Amendment Date of 8/21, Build date got moved up to 9/17, Delivery Date quoted as 11/9. Will see if the delivery date holds true. They send our VIN number with the last update that came after the build date.
No idea why yours seem to be delayed by that much, unless the dealer is keeping the "Lock Date" open till later in Oct???

That does seem like a heck of wait for a build but I have no idea how that works.
