Somewhat similar to something we experienced. We order just after the switch from 2018 to 2019 MY ordering. The online configurator wasn't live so we had to parse through the various options on paper to match to the 2018 build we'd done to help decide what we wanted.
We didn't choose the cooler compartment as it wasn't something we really wanted, and at the time it seemed like there was a charge for it though it wasn't clear on paper. Anyway we put the order in, firm. Our SA called us back a few days later to say that it was available to us at no cost (presumably because of something else we chose), but, to select it at that point would've essentially meant getting in the back of the line as far as build slots. So we passed on it. Seemed strange that a seemingly small thing couldn't be adjusted in process, but it wasn't that big a deal to us.
Wonder why that matters though? I think it is just a two year old dealership [well adding Landrover Jaguar is] not knowing what the hell they are doing? Like notice the print date is 9 days ago? Looks like to me they got this back from the LOCK I did earlier and someone just saw it sitting on the printer and decided to scan and send it to me for signature.
I did sign it and send it back but did not include that here in case the Russians are looking . . .
11/30 build and not getting it until Feb now. Does not show the 2% discount but I have that on what I initially signed.
Sorry to hear that. For some reason they don't seem to have their act together.
In my case we are getting ready to go pick it up, but then they started playing games with financing. I went on the Chase Auto online that then immediately transfer you to landroverusa.com financing. Putting in the details and model they quote 2.38% APR online, yet the dealer was way higher than that (though we have excellent credit). Seems to be a glitch on the website. Got it down to 3.9% which seems in line for a 60/mo loan on autos these days. That was yesterday.
Today they send me a link to the online financing application page for the dealer again, then I told them I already did that. Then they want to know when I can come pick up the D5, and I said not until they can send me all the details in writing before I drive out there as I sense another bait and switch on some fees or something else. Still waiting.........
This is really souring the whole premium brand experience given that I had to go back and forth 4 times before they got the order and options correct. At least the final quote showed that as correct with the car arriving.
Guess we shall see. All I can say is my BMW and Lexus experiences has put them to shame.
Update: Well was able to pickup the D5, and the APR ended up being 3.2%, they did try to upsell maintenance and extended warranty, but neither were very attractive.
Well, my BS meter is going off again. Local dealer says the 2018 models they ordered back in May are just coming in now and that my Nov build, end of Feb delivery for a late August order is "normal". Of course they said they would update me if anything changes? It almost seems like they are making this up as they go.
I wish we could get more 2019 orders on here and track order time to get some actual data.
Are we placing bets on whether or not it will show up or how long it will take to break down?
Kidding..sort of. It will be awesome. I hope you have better luck with your than others here. I am amazed at the issues some of them have for what they cost.
