Well, I've almost talked myself into a lease until these things start proving their dependability. But, yeah. at this point, I will settle for just it getting here.

I have never worked harder to buy a vehicle ever before but I guess since this will likely be our last new expensive one until we ride off into the sunset of Buicks and Subarus as folks in their 60s are supposed to do, I guess having to work for it is only appropriate.

Hey, I apparently have a Discovery actually built . . .

Unfortunately, the delivery is still 2/28/19.

Mildly sarcastic, I said, hell, I could fly over there tomorrow, drive through the tunnel, across Europe, Asia, up the Siberian coast, take the ferry to Alaska, drive down the west coast to Tacoma, see friends there, on down to Portland, see friends there, and then drive across to Kansas and be here before 2/28/19 just driving 250 miles per day. Be ready for the 10,000 miles service.

Probably being punished for making them special order one instead of settling for one they had?

Yeah, that sucks. We special ordered and didn't have the issues you did. May just be a dealer problem. Ours actually arrived sooner than originally stated.

It might come sooner. Ours was more like a month from built to delivered

2/28 has come and gone. I called and the gal said she'd have someone get right back to me. No one did.

I called again and talked to my now 4th salesman. He said there was some kind of parts shortage problem. Would likely be another month at least.

I blew a freakin gasket . . .

I was told this Discovery was "on the assembly line" the 3rd week of November. You're telling me they have been line down for 3 months?

I need to know exactly where my Discovery is and when it is going to be here? He said he would have management call me by the end of the day.

No one has called . . .

Have you contacted Land Rover directly instead of going through the dealership?

Don’t sweat it. I’m sure they are just trying to figure out why the hood letters keep falling off or why the truck shuts off when it rains. Standard protocol, you will love the D5! Keep us posted!

This is crazy!! By the time you get yours the D6 will be launched.

IIRC they have switched factories end of 2018 from Sulihill, UK to Nitra, Slovakia. Hope yours didn't land in that switchover. Not sure how I would feel about it being build in a new factory.

I believe that was the disco sport that switched factories.
