Default Wheel/tire options for 19 Disco

Just bought my first Disco (a 2019 Discovery Lux). It comes with 22” style 5025 wheels (and brand new oem tires). Our use for this car is primarily as a family hauler, driving largely on urban/suburban roads in the Pacific Northwest. Unlikely we would do much (if any) off-roading - our steep driveway is probably what would make most use of the Disco’s 4x4 capabilities.
I am a newbie in terms of wheels and tires etc and would love some advice and guidance about whether to keep these wheels on all year, or whether to invest in a smaller sized set of rims/tires that would allow for a more comfortable and less noisy ride on the road.
If you do recommend a smaller set - what are my options? I see folks posting on Facebook marketplace tires from other land rovers (20” defender wheels and tires takeoffs 255 60/r20, or 235/65 r19 from other Land Rovers). What should I look for or ask for in terms of technical specs to know that these would fit my vehicle?
Any suggestions for available takeoffs on eBay (would love black ones ideally)?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you. I tried - and pored through a lot of threads (and thank you for how much you contribute!)… but seems that majority of the discussions are focused on off road optimizations and not as much on boring old commute optimizations (reduce road noise, increase comfort while keeping the good looks of the car).

Looking at local listings - I could buy black 20” wheels coming off a 21 defender (255/60R20) for around $1600 or white ones around $1300. Or new 19” (235/65R19) for $700. Or new RR Sport silver takeoffs (255/60R19) for $900. My understanding at this point is that these might all fit (?) my disco 5 - but I can’t really figure out which might be a good option for a quiet/comfortable family ride on suburban Pacific Northwest roads. I haven’t ventured into the world of eBay yet…

I was fearful of posting this given the above advice to research in the forums, but hoping there are good samaritans who wouldn’t mind helping a newbie out.

Your on the right track.
Things to consider:
Brakes, since I opted for the Compmotive 18's from Lucky8, I had to make sure I had the smaller brakes.
Smaller the wheel, better comfort in ride quality. Yes you lose a little handling, but that's not what a D5 is for anyway.

This tool is great: https://tiresize.com/calculator/

I recommend the 20" wheel for you. ( 19" tire prices seem higher ??)

good luck!
