Where's Traffic?
How do I turn on traffic information on navigation?
I have all the subscriptions but the settings say traffic is turned off. How do I turn it on? Everywhere I have driven, the screen show no traffic information available.
Commute shows traffic info, but not regular navigation.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate?
The car has to have an active cellular connection for traffic to be enabled. Many mid-late 2010s vehicles run on 3G networks and thus won't work because 3G has been shut down since 2022. My 2018 Audi Q7 was eligible for a free 4G upgrade, and I did it because I enjoy having the Google Earth maps and the INRIX traffic info. Many other automakers offered free hardware upgrades, but JLR didn't do anything about it. No tech upgrade or anything. Unless someone comes up with an aftermarket solution, there's nothing you can do.
That's the nice thing about the new Pivi Pro infotainment system in my Defender. It is currently running on a 4G architecture, but it is 5G ready, so when 4G inevitably gets shut down, every JLR product running Pivi Pro won't lose out on connected features like satellite maps, traffic info, and built-inn apps like Spotify.

What year is yours?
So, after getting an irrelevant email from LR, I spoke with a person there and have been advised that the traffic service is no longer available via the vehicle's navigation system. However, Android Auto or Car Play can be used to connect via an app. Kind of makes my subscriptions a waste of money.
