I thought there was a class-action around this and the net result was JLR was going to retrofit the 2G vehicles to newer 4G units to re-enable OTA updates and connected services. Anyone know where that went?

This is the class action site. I've read on other sites that the class action was approved in October of '24. The net effect is to retrofit vehicles that can no longer receive OTA updates, extend the warranty on the infotainment master controller for an additional year, and provide updates for an additional two years.

I haven't received any mail outside of the initial class action notification over a year ago. For those with a 2017 L462 it would probably be good to contact a dealer or JLR support for more info on the retrofit.

Interesting that LR Customer Support didn't mention any of that. Nor have I seen it as an active recall. Also interesting is that if you add a subscription, the web site still shows traffic and no mention that it doesn't work.
