Hi - looking to get the winter tires for my Disco. I was planning on the Nokian Hakkan R3 SUV like several of you, but I can't find them online and the Nokian website tells me they don't make them in our size. 255/55R20
What am I missing? Did I get the size wrong or did you perhaps get a non oem size?

Also looked at Blizzak and looks like only the DM-V2 in our side. Not the WS80 nor the newer WS90

Tire rack only has the Pirelli scorpion winter (which LR recommends)

Any ideas?

I have the Blizzaks DMV-2, couldn't be happier. They ride and handle as good as my summer tires.
I wouldn't hesitate one bit.

I bought a used set of RR Sport wheels and had them refinished (as my winter set w/Toyo Observe GSI-5's):

Thanks everyone. Yes, I found the Hakka R3 on discount tire in the end but strangely I couldn't find on amazon so thanks for the link above.
Will go ahead and buy. I already got a second set of the standard Disco wheels so I can swap out whenever I need

Thanks!

It's interesting that some consider snow tires for the Land Rover. To me it seems heavy enough, and even all season tires with decent sipes do just fine. Now the Infiniti we had sucked regardless of tire choice, but every Rover we have owned did great, as does my wifes Subaru on Michelins, Premier AS if memory serves. Don't have a desire to store tires, but do those of you that do fit snow tires really see a big difference? In Colorado its dry enough that snow and ice is kind of joke. We tend to golf between snow storms.

Yeah, I suspect our Yoko G015s are going to do just fine. May get snow up at 9000 ft at the cabin this weekend. Hope so. Going out to close it up for winter.
