‘03 Disco help!!!
Hello! Would someone please help me? My dear friend Holly (Disco’s proper name) lost all oil compression while driving my kids around yesterday & immediately started to smoke. Is it possible it’s just the oil pump? Lifters? Would it be wiser to just scrap it? I do not have the funds to keep throwing money at it. It is a beautiful vehicle. Only 107,000 miles? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, There are many more members in the Discovery 2 forum at this site, you will get much more help there.
Short answer, NO! Do not scrap it!!
If you got no money you might be better off selling at this point but you'll only get $1500 tops in the present condition... Maybe even $500!!
Front cover is a good guess, but compression is air, not oil. Time for you to learn up and this forum is a great resource. Probably cost you anywhere from $800 to $2800 at a reputable independent LR specific shop. Pro Tip: if a shop tells you that you need a new engine for over $10k, RUN! Get outta there... It could possibly be true but there are mechanics out there afraid of Rovers or are apparently deeply in debt and see Rover owners as a good source of boat payments. I was told three or four times i needed a new engine... They were right once.
I'd fix it.
