I am the proud owner of a "97 discovery that has been in the family since it was bought new. It has been garaged most of it's life and worked on by a local garage. It has develop a number of slow leaks in hoses and fluid reservoirs. Too many for my local guys to fix. Looking for a resource on or near Cape Cod. This is a summer house for me, so I not there a lot but have friends or family that can transport it. Would like to do it soon to beat the summer rush. Need the headliner replaced as well.

Thanks for your help.

Jim

Welcome to the forum. You should post any technical questions in the Discovey 1 section of the forum. As for your headliner, a lot of people suggest tearing the fabric off the headliner and painting it. You would still need to remove the headliner assembly to do this. Redoing the fabric is also quite doable.

What exactly are the problems that need to be addressed? Removing the headliner assembly, as harvlr said, will allow you to replace the fabric. If your Discovery interior is in really good shape, do not paint the roof or the headliner. Have the fabric replaced either by a local shop or do it yourself. Don't ruin a perfectly good Discovery by painting the headliner.

Got any pics of the truck?
