The most important thing is to stay on top of the service schedule at noted mileages, and be in tune with any new noises, smells, etc. that may crop up. Your Disco II is more refined in some areas than earlier models, but it is still British and therefore requires more owner involvement to keep it healthy than--say-- a Japanese vehicle.
