Default 2004 Freelander SE AC / Temperature

Hello...

Strange occurrence, while driving around all of the sudden the AC went hot and the temperature gauge shot up as well. I assumed it had blown a radiator hose or something. I pulled over check the temperature checked for leaks everything was fine noted that the fans weren't blowing, cut off the ignition the fan started blowing at high speed. The radiator hose was firm with water pressure, the tank Reservoir was full, everything seemed fine got back in the truck, started it up the temperature gauge was red. Almost as if 8 had a switch sensor instead of a temperature sensor...?

Anyway the AC compressor cut off and did not turn back on again. All the fuses seem to be fine and the fans seem to work, just not at the appropriate time?

The truck has a new thermostat kit and water pump, there are no coolant leaks.

Any clues...?

Welcome to the forum Juan Carlos! You may have a bit more luck with the troubleshooting question by posting your problem in the freelander section. This can be accessed by clicking on the 'Forums' button in the upper left hand corner of the screen, then vehicle line-up and Freelander. Good luck and hope you get it sorted soon!
