Default 2013 Defender

Hi all,

New here and was wondering if anyone's got any info on the new Defender ? I'm a farmer and use a landy every day. I'm on my 6th at present. It's a 110 double cab. Just hope LR send a few prototypes out to farms for testing BEFORE they go into production as the current defender has been made less practical with each facelift. The current ones only have legroom for dwarfs !

There are thousands of defenders in daily use on farms, surely we deserve a say ?!?

Rover is cutting production on most models, dropping the 4 wheel drive and what few models will be built over the next year so better start looking for something now.

i think range rover is going to be a more luxury 2wd brand, rumors i heard were different from what Mike is saying. I heard they were going to bring Land Rover back to more utilitarian use and please the urbanites with the Range Rover line.

also with the new EU diesel requirements the US will be able to import more european diesel vehicles! so if they get the safety regs worked out, we might see the Defender back in the states sooner than we thought.

Tata is closing down Rovers last plant, Solihull tis year, that leaves S. Africa and India to have the only remaining plants, they will no longer be making any military vehicles which doesn't make the Defenders future to good either.
