Default 2021 Defender on order - concern about issues?

Hey folks,
First time on the site and first post. I ordered a new ‘21 Defender 110 X-dynamic in Fuji white, acorn and lunar interior. Black roof, Big fender guards, hood decal, ladder, etc and will throw a 1.5” Johnson Rods lift and a set of BFG TA KO2 275/60/r20 tires on it.

Reading these threads I’m excited about the build but pretty nervous about all the glitches, and it’s a pile of money for a car with constant headaches. Any reassurance, or words of warning, about the Defender 110?

Also, I ordered the cross-cut walnut but saw it in person yesterday and it looks far different than the site. Anyone have some pics that show it looking good? The dark smoke looks better in person IMO, but maybe I just saw an odd color variation.

Thanks all for any input. New to the brand. Formerly drove an International Scout II and a Landcruiser but fell in love with the driving dynamics and design of this truck.

Jim

If you can afford the mentioned above, you can afford the problems that come with it.

Welcome aboard! You are in the right place.

good point! I’m mostly wondering if fellow owners are all experiencing things going wrong or if it’s an occasional thing? I’d love to know that some of these beautiful things work properly.

Expect problems. It’s a newly designed vehicle from the ground up chocked full of complicated electronics made by JLR.

But it looks really cool and is super comfy!

IMO - lease it and dump it before the warranty is up

I have a 2020. 9200 miles. No problems whatsoever.
