Default Accelerator pedal problem on a discovery TD5

Hello everybody,I have a discovery TD five 2001 manual which had a bit of intermittent starting and now and again the odd blip whilst driving, which eventually got worse, tracked it down to the accelerator pedal. my part number on my pedal is LR030567. found up Land Rover for a replacement to find they don’t stock anymore as it’s now classed as vintage. So quickly purchase one on eBay. which I fitted trouble is it has a flat spot in the accelerating. there was no information on the accelerator pedal and someone has suggested that it could’ve been off an automatic. Would that make a difference? Cheers, Jon
