Hello everyone! I've had my '97 Disco for 3 months now. It has 122,000 miles on it and it runs really well. I'm ready to start getting this thing road and trail ready. Just wondering where to start and what are some of the main things I need to be looking for. Thanks in advance and have a good day.

Overheating, keeping up with fluid changes. Look at an Ultra auge, it plugs in the OBDII port and will display digital coolant temp, reset codes, etc. It is not the miles, it is the years, the coolant system can have calcium build up in radiator, be on the look out for a small indy rad shop that does farm and construction equipment radiators. About $70 for hot flush and rod out. Don't trust the dash heat gauge above 50%. Rotella 15W40 oil. Hope you have downloaded the RAVE set of shop manuals.

Thanks for the info Buzz. It has already overheated once on me and blew the coolant tank up. Replaced that and did a home flush and it seemed to help some.

Take a look thru cooling problems in my signature. Has pix, etc. If tank was a black one they rupture, the white ones are much better,
