Default Ashcrost aatb differential. HELP

Hey everyone so I recently rebuilt my lt230t transfer case and decided to upgrade the differential as the old one was work down. There was absolutely no play in low range gear when fitted to the original diff. But when fitted to the new ashcroft I noticed a small bit of play in it. I presumed after fitting everything else and the bearings and re fitting it. It might go away, but it has not. Still has play in the low range gear. I've checked the preload and the smaller gear on the opposite side is not moving at all..... Will it be okay or should I change the gear? Anyone have the same issue. Thanks
