I'm a new member of this forum, so far it looks like a really informative resource. I've got a 'stripper' (no options of note) 2024 P300 Defender 90 in basic Fuji White. This is my first SUV/Offroad vehicle, having been more of a sports car/sports sedan kind of guy all my life. It joins a 911 and a Cadillac Blackwing in my stable.
I was tempted into it by a JLR display at Monterey Reunion at Laguna Seca where they set up a little off-road course to play with the Defender. It opened my eyes to a whole different kind of automotive fun. Along with light off-roading on trips to Joshua Tree and Tahoe, I've been really enjoying owning this vehicle largely because, as someone overly neurotic about my other cars, it's the first car I've owned that gets cooler the more bashed up and dirty it gets!
I've only put 10,000 miles on it in the past couple of years, and I'll be due to either turn in the lease or buy it out. I'm considering keeping it since I've bonded with it, it seems like the most common problems are the DRLs burning out and the exhaust manifold issue (which MAY be specific to the P400 V6 engine). I have no air springs, no nothing on this car. WWYD?
