"Disco" = Discovery & not just 70's era
Hi, new Disco owner here...well technically it's for my wife so I'm just a 24-hour/365-days available Disco auto mechanic that gets paid in cooked food, way underpaid compared to a dealership
. We wanted another 4x4 for the winters here in WV, I have a '94 Bronco. I saw this Disco on Craigslist and that same day bought it, it was reduced down to $500 (his wife wanted it gone ASAP) and drove it home, it took the owner some time to disengage the CDL (it does work), he never used it before. The idle was rough, the ride was bouncy, there is some rattling from the suspension, front windows don't work, some normal surface-rust and I need to replace the headlights. Gotta do a complete inspection, use the Rave Manual (great info..tks!) to nurse it back to full health. Couldn't pass up that price for a working LR or could this be the start of many nightmares?
I'm looking forward to using these forums and at the same time sharing my info or should I say "learning experiences" from my mistakes.
