My name is eaglewing
This is the name of my present sailboat as well. The boat was previously owned by the National Geographic and it did eagle surveys at the edge of the known world in Alaska during the 1960’s and 70’s. This spirit of adventure and exploration in remote areas will be continued with my new to me 1998 DI.
My background – new to Land Rover – old to British, Italian, and other cars.
Last year, driving my Jeep Cherokee in the mountains, I hit a patch of black ice at highway speeds. We landed upside down in a snow bank. My wife and I are now hanging from our seat belts, and at that moment, I knew that it was time for a new ride.
It took a year of research to make my final decision on a Discovery I. Here we go on the next adventure of ownership. Typically British, “it needs me” and the help of my friends.
