Still as student, when i was a volunteer, i drove a Land Rover 300tdi and i loved it! Since then, i always wanted to buy one! In Ecuador this car is VERY expensive, so i've chosen 4WDjap cars and also motorbikes.
But yesterday I saw a 2009 110 Double-cab pick-up, 6 gear 2.4lt CRTDI, that had an accident and can be -after a hard work- rebuilt!!
The engine, gear-box and chasis seem to be fine, hood, roof, fenders, doors, canopy and trim are in bad shape.
This car -as far as I KNOW- was used only on-road and has 26k miles on the clock.
The engine still runs, even if the radiators are in bad shape as well.
Probably axles can be also damaged, do you guys think it can be a good idea to try to rebuild it. Spares can be expensive here in SouthAmerica, nevertheless i can spend time and money making it be functional again!
What do you think? I've seen worst!! I will hang some images later, but
I'd appreciate your kind help and info!!
