Another new face (errr....screen name) here. I recently picked up a 2000 Discovery with just shy of 60k mi. I perused a few LR forums before picking up my new ride. I learned a bit about these cars in the process and decided to make a leap of faith into the world of Disco's. Thank you all for the info! . . .I previously had a Honda Civic that was great, but I recently moved to UT and need a 4WD to get around. This truck is going to be much more than a grocery getter for me as I will use it for camping/biking trips around the SW! I also pretty much need an off road capable car to get to my house! I live in a fairly remote area with dirt road access only. Right now spring is coming and the 7ft snow banks are starting to melt. As this is happening all of the run off is creating huge ruts in the roads near my house. A number of people have been getting stuck on the roads around here. It seems the Bigger trucks F-250 & 350's as well as other large trucks have been struggling. They sink! So far my Discovery has performed great! I'm sure I'll get a chance to pull someone out soon! Gotta love it.

So...Hello everybody! I'm Ken. See ya in the forums.
