Greetings from the national forest
Just like to say hello to everyone here on the forums from the Ocala Fl. national forest. My wife and I purchased our 1st Land Rover about a month ago and have been very pleased with it's solid ruggedness and on/off road capabilities. Given our move to the national forest area, we decided that something capable of navigating ALL of the terrains around here and beyond was the best choice for us. After nearly a month of looking over and at everything from Jeeps to Mercedes, we settled on a smooth but sturdy 04 Freelander with it's original 75k miles. I researched Freelanders b4 hand to try and educate myself as to their history, defects, common problems, and what to look for in warning signs...Just developed a single miss on the way home yesterday that I am hot on the trail of getting corrected but with 11 year old original coil packs, shouldn't b surprised right?? Needless to say, we're now planning on taking much more advantage of the various trails, campgrounds, and wooded areas surrounding us now that we can safely get thru them, and we're both glad that there's a forum to call home where we can all help keep our Rover's doing what they all do best.
