Default Greetings from Newie

Well, I have just bought myself a Series 2 Discovery after my old BMW525 self destructed leaving me with a very expensive repair bill - so I figured it was time to change to English engineering instead of German. What made me buy a Landrover? My Father had alway had Rover cars - a 1959 3 litre mark One and a 1975 Rover 3500; and I guess that these cars gave me a taste for Rover products.

I had been thinking of a 4wd for a while as I do a lot of wilderness stuff such as hiking, camping and canyons, so a 4wd would be just the ticket.

Anyway, I ferreted out a suitable Discovery, V8 petrol in British Racing Green with 135,000 kms on the clock. It's in good nick with only a few ****ling problems such as the horn and cruise control not working, but these are only minor.

Look forward to getting into the world of Landrovers!!!
Cheers

Andrew
