I be do the school run of 18 mile round trip twice a day , to my college and short trips. I need to have the lap belts in the back converted to proper seat belts for my five and six year old. I also need brighter lights and to prevent exhaust smell inside. Can anyone help? I am also interested in learning how to off roda, green lane somewhere in hampshire. Cheers Abbie

Welcome. Please down load the RAVE technical manual set, which is free, and covers most models, with workshop, electrical, and owners manuals. See link below.

With respect to brighter lights, if you refer to head lights, the auto parts store will have a variety of "brighter" bulbs. If you refer to the interior or dash lights, check out www.superbrightleds.com, they have plug in substitutes for a wide variety of bulbs.

With respect to exhaust leak, someone will need to spend some time under the truck to locate the leak, and effect repairs (tighten clamp, replace muffler or cracked pipe, etc.). Until repairs done would suggest that you operate vehicle with window at least cracked - fresh air needed to keep you awake. If equipped, would not set AC to "recirculate" mode.

Not sure on a source for different lap/shoulder belts. Perhaps one of our dismantlers might be good to contact, or any of the Rover specialty parts sources, like Atlantic British, Rovers North, and such.

Owner's manuals provide some guidance for off roading, and there are numerous posts on adventures by members.

Please post future questions and comments often in the other areas of the forum, and a picture of your truck. Most of us are "green" with envy and would love to have a Defender...

When you log in there is a range of forums presented, select one that covers your question, when it pops up there is a "new thread" button on the upper left side. BUT before posting, good idea to use the search feature, it may already have lots of answers.

Hi Abbie. You're more than welcome to post general D90 questions in the Defender forum here. But for anything more specific for your needs, like parts sources, greenlane info, etc., you'd probably have better luck posting on one of the UK forums like:
Land Rover UK Forums
LandyZone
Land Rover Addict
Land Rover Owner

Welcome, and enjoy your D90
