Default Hello All

I'm new to Land Rovers, but certainly not new to cars. Well I recently sold my car and I found a good deal through a family member on a 95 Discovery with only 78k on it for 3800. Now I have only seen the car on pics and am going to see it next week but I want to hear from you guys. Are Land Rovers tempermental or dont last? or are they relatively maintenence free and last far past the 100,000 mile mark? Now I wont be doing much off roading at all, mostly daily driving with it.

Any information is definetly appreciated

Are you looking for a vehicle that is low maintanence, if so you may want to reconsider.
What would you be using the truck for. As with all 4wheelers their cost of repair can be higher then a Honda.
78K is low mileage for a Disco, coud be a nice vehicle, yes they can, if maintained properly do 250K easily.
They require high octane gas and may only get between 12 and 16 MPG.

Well I certainly know how to work on cars, Ive built 2 cars and one complete engine overhaul. I dont mind some maintenence but will it be overly needy? I wont be doing much off roading so I doubt I'd be breaking parts that break from that. Basically I had a mitsu before this and the damn thing NEVER ran right, only car I truely have come to hate.
