Default Hello, I just bought a used D2.

Hi. I am Zane, I live in Frederick MD. USA
I just purchased a 1999 Discovery 2 for $2995.
With that price it obviously has issues.
So I figure I better find me some help.
First time owner.

Default Check out the new owner posts

There are a number of threads and stickies for new owners that will introduce you to common issues and things to look out for. Consult these first. Download Rave manual, too.

Best of luck. Depending upon what kind of shape your truck is actually in, you may have paid too much (or gotten a good deal).

Best of luck,

Hello, thanks for the welcome.
I do like this truck, might be drivable tomorrow.
But chances are the O2 sensors will not be in stock.
And stop it from overheating. And...And...And...

I really doubt they have been done.
If it starts running right, then that 'weekend' job
will be on the to do list.
I want a secure feeling when this hits the road.

the first thing to tackle is why its overheating. overheating is not good with these aluminum blocks, they dont handle it very well. are you losing coolant in the reservoir?

when u are ready to make it bulletproof
