Hello from Los Angeles
Just wanted to introduce myself[8D]
I've had a Land Rover for about four years, previously owner of a 2003 Discovery II and traded up to a 2005 LR3 last year. I bought a certified pre-owned, black/black SE with many additional options (thank you previous owner!). She was the traditional family hauler and grocery-getter and of course occasionally cleaned up nicely for nights out
until this past week.
I took my family on a National Park trip through Arizona and Utah this past week and of course we took the LR. Needless to say she was MARVELOUS! As many LR's do here in LA, I didn't know if I'd ever get to see the potential this vehicle has. So when I knew we were going on a road trip I planned out some stuff to do specifically with our LR3. We went to the Grand Canyon, Sedona AZ, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Brian Head, Utah. We did some four-wheeling in Sedona and ended up checking out some GREAT views of the desert that we probably couldn't get unless we bought a trip form a company or had the right vehicle.
Once we were in Southern Utah, I bought a book containing all the scenic backways and dirt roads and took every single one that coincided with my destination. Boy was it worth it! Needless to say our LR3 performed flawlessly off-road and kept us comfy the entire trip. I hope I'm lucky enough to have a LR on the driveway my entire life, it has really opened up another world of enjoyment for me.
Anyway, I just wanted to share and ramble with some people that would appreciate my newfound enthusiasm for this vehicle and I thought I'd do it here. [sm=smiley31.gif]
